Deleting your Lexcellent account
This page explains how to delete your **Lexcellent** account and the data associated with it. It applies to every Lexcellent client — the website and the Windows, macOS, iPhone, and Android apps — since they all share one account.
Option 1 — Delete it yourself (immediate)
1. Open **lexcellent.app** in a web browser and sign in with your account.
2. Go to **Settings**.
3. Scroll to **Delete account** and select it.
4. Confirm. Your account and its data are deleted right away.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete it
If you can't sign in, email **support@lexcellent.app** from the email address registered to your account and ask us to delete it. We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data, including:
- your account and email address;
- your vocabulary and saved words;
- texts and sources you imported;
- your study progress and history;
- device identifiers and push-notification tokens;
- any feedback you submitted.
You can also remove individual words or sources at any time from within the app, without deleting your whole account.
What may be retained
We may keep a limited amount of information where the law requires it — for example billing, tax, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution records — for as long as required, after which it is deleted or anonymized. This is described in our [Privacy Policy](/privacy).
